Friend's pre-85.5 944 - No start

I would check for compression, just take the plugs out put your finger in the hole spin it over and see what you have, that is a quick way to see if you have a problem. If the belt did break there is likely soome bent valves. If you have fuel and fire all you should need is some compression to make it pop or smoke, bang, thump or something. I don't think that a turbo DME will run a N/A ??

Turbo DME is different.

I'm not sure I'm going to be back to look at it. They whether I could fix it and how much I'd charge, but I honestly don't have time to do it, and since I've no history of the car, I don't want to be obligated to get it running again. But I did tell them that I'd check around and see how much parts/labor would cost them.
