Yes, I haven't raised the car to try to disconnect the alternator yet.

Any items to include if I order an alternator and starter? Maintenance records say they are both original. No shops nearby will rebuild alternators, so replacement looks like the only option.

There is a current thread about replacing the brush/regulator pack; it can be done with the alternator in place. I would try that 1st.

If you end up needing a regulator, I've got a NIB one that I can send your way for $5 shipping. Bought one a few years back and ended up swapping the alternator to a higher amp unit, so I didn't use it.
