Default Turbo Twists for an early 944??

I just found a set of Turbo Twists that I think are what I need for an early offset 944 (84). Their specs are 17x9 ET15 and 17x7.5 ET23. They were on a mid 80's 911 with no adaptors or spacers. Will these bolt on my 944 without spacers. Do I leave the original rear spacer in place or remove and use shorter studs?

Thanks (I've looked a long time for these, I hope I've found the right ones!!)

Gord.

Yes, it sounds like those are the correct sizes for an '84.

I believe you will leave the factory spacer on the rear. But try it - if the wheel sticks out too much, just take off that spacer. Don't get shorter studs, it's much easier if you just go to the local VW dealership and buy 10 steel lug nuts for a vanagon. They have open tops so they can screw down as far as you need... and they're only like $2 each. You might even find them at Paragon-products.com or other sponsor sites.

That's the offset I had on my early car. Fit fine with the rear spacer in place. Rears were 245 fronts 225.
