I am sure this has been covered many times, but I don't know where on the forum to look. Where is the best place/company to get insurance on a '86 944 Turbo? Thanks for your help.........

If you are not looking to drive it daily I like Leeland West. They give you agrred upon value and its not to expensive for my "88 N/A.

I have mine under State Farm. My other car and house are also with them. I pay $60 a month for the 944 for full coverage.

Check first with your current company..

Are you looking for specialty coverage? Agreed value? Stated value? Limited use?

Leyland West
Hagerty
Grundy

Still others have luck with larger ones like State Farm. I know Allstate would offer it to me, but they just buy it from someone else (thats what the agent said.. might have been a hagerty for instance)

I've insured my SC with Hagerty for 3.5 years. $10k agreed value coverage, great customer service (you get an actual person to speak with!), and I pay about $200/year. Plus they are located in Traverse City MI, a town very near and dear to my heart.

I'll transition my 951 there when I get another DD, as they don't really allow for that...

I've only needed them for roadside, and that was only once, so no comment on how they are when s**t hits the fan.
