Default NA Strut Housings on an S2

I'm about ready to purchase a pair of blown NA struts from a 1987 944NA to swap my Koni inserts into and my recently purchased #200lb Weltmeister springs. Is there a difference between the S2/Turbo and the NA strut? I know I need the hats from the NA strut to use with the Weltmeister springs.

Not positive about the NA, but I know the '86 951 had a different thickness to the mount to the steering knuckle. The 951 was thinner than the S2's and would not fit.

Early cars (pre 85.5) have a different bolt spacing where they bolt to the knuckle - ask me how I know Since you are using 87 struts you should be fine.
