It's time.

I'm selling my 87 944 Turbo (hopefully to another enthusiast). It's been very well maintained in the 9 years that I've had it. She's been my baby and I'm probably one of the more paranoid owners here, so I'm sure it's gotten more maintenance than it needed.

She's been garage kept for 8 of the 9 years I've owned her. The stone guards went south only when I wasn't able to keep her garaged.

Here's the Autotrader ad:
-----------
Very well maintained, lightly modified and conservatively tuned to around 300 rwhp. With the current modifications, it should be capable of 350rwhp.

Modifications:
  • Vitesse "Stage II" (Includes MAF, larger fuel pressure regulator, injectors, piggyback controller, chips)
  • T04b 57 trim #8 hotside turbo
  • Heat wrapped downpipe
  • Adjustable fuel pressure regulator
  • M030 968 Front sway bar
  • Koni Yellow adjustable sport shocks
  • 300# progressive front springs
  • 18" Sport Classic II (From a 2000 996 Carrera. Nearly a foot wide on the rear (285))
  • 968 Caster blocks
  • Weltmeister Adjustable rear sway bar
  • Short shift kit
  • Upgraded billet recirc valve
  • Racewear head studs
  • Test pipe (not for street use)
  • Custom boost gauge & A/F Ratio gauge mount in center console
  • Better front speakers
  • Upgraded head unit
  • Lindsey Boost Enhancer

Includes:
  • Stock turbo-back exhaust (Which you'll need for emissions inspections)
  • Stock phone dial wheels
  • All stock parts (Turbo, air intake system, springs, etc)
  • Extra coolant tank, other parts
  • Keyless entry & Alarm System
  • Nearly complete service history
  • Shimmed wastegate (not installed)

Recent work done (Less than 4000 miles ago):
  • New timing belt
  • New water pump
  • New rollers
  • New balance shaft seals
  • Raceware head studs installed
  • New head gasket
  • Recent PA state & emissions inspection (April 2010)

Work was performed by JCL Automotive, a local BMW and Porsche specialist

Issues:
  • Flat spot in right front tire.
  • Needs Alignment
  • Leaks a small amount of oil
  • Backlight on LCD for clock doesn't work
  • Stone guards are faded
  • Cracks in dash
  • A/C doesn't work (probably just needs a belt)

  • Exterior Color: Alpineweiss (Alpine White)
  • Interior Color: Black, Full leather
  • Mileage: 110,000
  • Inspected: 04/22/2011
