Default AOS Crud in Engine

I just remove my AOS to replace the seals. I noticed that the bottom of the AOS had some dry crud in it, not milky, just old crusted oil. SO i cleaned it out best I could.

But on the engine side, where bottom of the AOS attaches, there was crud in there as well. What is in there? I am concerned that I packed some porous holes trying to clean int out. Does anybody have a picture?

Are you talking about the hole on the right of the bottom AOS port?

No, I am talking about the bottom AOS hole. If that is packed with crud, does that mean oil will not makes its way into the engine..Its kind of hard to tell, is the oil passage in the bottom left of the hole?

Yup bottom left. Clean it out with a vacuum cleaner going to gather up as much as you can. Then flush it out with with some light oil and drain the oil out of the pan to get all the stuff out of the pan.
