Vinyl Discoloration

I have a tan interior on my 87 Turbo. There is a dark discoloration on the top of the glove box and some on the top of the console. Does anyone know what causes this and if there is a remedy short of buying new interior parts?

You can dye the faded parts sometimes cheaper then finding new ones.

Actually the discoloration is darker, so would the dye work on something darker than the original?

Might take more than 1 coat, but yes..

There are other suppliers that can color match a swatch... or original factory color code... IIRC.
