Default ball joint repair kit???????

hey guys, well my car has come a long way and now i have it back running perfectly fine and im ready to do cosmetic work on my car but ive stumbled into a problem. thanks to virginia and their stupid inspection laws i must have a valid inspection and i was informed by a shop that my ball joints are bad and that they don't make them anymore. well i didn't see any, all i found were repair kits. is this my only option or did i not check all my options. thank you for what ever help you can offer.

Hey what year car? Yes your options are likely ; buy new a-arms $$$ or rebuild your ball joints..
I actually just did this 2 weekends ago. Fairly easy to do. I live in NoVA and would be happy to assist you in rebuilding them.

If it is early, that's easy. Later are a bit more effort but the Rennbay kit works great.

I have a good set of late offset control arms for sale. They have 20k miles on them and the ball joints and boots are in great shape. Come with all the necessary hardware. $300 plus shipping/paypal fees.

^ Agreed? If you haven't found a set of A-Arms, just Rebuild yours!

I mean you have to remove the A-arms anyway... You can rebuild both ball joints in under 45 minutes!

Stop Wasting Time and Do IT!! ha ha

While on this subject.....and don't mean to hyjack pawnmastap sorry....

so I have a '86 NA and have located a early car I am going to buy and part out, will keep the manual sterering rack.

Side note.....I have been using a modified de-powered rack 650 miles a week, but recently went from 7" to 8" wide front wheels, so the manual rack is looking alot more attractive now.

Anyway, as I understand it, the early car arms will direct transplant on my '86 which will give me replacable ball joints correct????

I've been wondering this same thing, so I'll be your co-hijacker.
