Cab top issues.
Earlier today I went out and tried to drop the top on my 968 cab. Unlocked the top pressed the top down button. The windows rolled down but the top motors did nothing. Pressed the top up side of the button and I could hear the motors running. Lifted the top a little, checked the fuse ect...... but still nothing. I did a search and found a thread where they were talking about 2 additional relays located in the rear boot. Pulled the carpet and had a look but was not able to find any additional relays. Can anybody tell me where these are at or if they exist?
I know that many of you have gone to the manual mode but I have not interest in that.
Any other ideas or thoughts would be welcome.
Thx,

Ok, more to the story..... I opened up the passangers side cover and loosened the position switch. The motor now runs when I push the top down button but will not engage.
Any thoughts?

The relays are behind the carpet in the trunk on the right side near the top. You will have to peel back the glued on carpet to see them.
There are two motor to run your top, one for each transmission. Can you tell if both of the motors are running? If not, the transmissions can get out of sync and possibly damage main bow. Not a cheap part to replace. The gears in the transmissions are a half circle, so if one of the motors disengages from that gear, you will have to dissassemble both sides to be sure you have them in time.
If you want, you can loosen the torque bolts on both transmissions and give yourself a manual top.
