Default speedometer not working

When I bought my car the speedometer was not working. Since then I changed the impulse sensor swapped clusters with a spare working one I had and I checked the wiring. Today when working under it I noticed these 2 wires that were just hanging loose. Would they have anything to do with it not working? If not anyone know what else to try? Everything on the cluster works besides the speedometer.

Those hanging wires are for a brake pad sensor. Nothing to do with the speedometer.

You said you swapped in the sender on the transmission?
