Auto to 5 speed swap
I am changing a 86 na auto over to a 5 speed and have a few questions,
Are the mounts for the clutch pedal already in the Automatic car?
What do I need to remove from the donor car, it is a 87 na with 5 sp.
What is the best way to remove the Trans, I was planning on dropping the whole rear suspension down and taking the whole rear end along with suspension.
Any tricks I need to know?
This will be for a track car.
Pulling tomorrow AM so please respond ASAP
Thanks in advance for the info.

Bellhousing', torque tube, starter, clutch-flywheel etc, trans, cv joints, clutch pedal, anything connected to the shifter, gauge cluster and the wiring from the manual trans ?
While you have all that off, do the rms and rebuild the torque tube and repack the joints. But you already knew that

Do I need the starter? I know the one on the 5 sp is already gone
What wiring for the manual trans???
This is for a race car, so don’t need the cluster.

I thought the wiring is different from the manual to automatic cars for the speedo. I might be mistaken. But I am pretty sure the starter is different. Since its a race car, go to ideolas garage and check out his high torque starters. Saves a few lbs. Lol.
