Default Using M474 Shocks with new Koni Inserts and Weltmeister Springs

My plan is to take my M474 shocks on my 1989 Porsche 944S2 and get new "hacked" Koni inserts with Weltmeister springs. However, there is a claim that Weltmeister springs do not work on any S2 strut. Are M474 S2 struts an exception to this claim? The Porsche Pet number seems identical to any previous model with the M474 option. My brother's 87 S has the same M474 option and I see no virtual difference in the struts themselves.

Also, how valued are M474 shocks? Some guy in another thread said they are worth a lot non-cut to race guys because you can send them to Paragon as a core rebuild. If that is the case, would anyone be willing to buy my front pair and trade me regular late offset turbo struts that I can rebuild and a little cash? (If so, I will obviously buy a rennlist membership with some of the money offered.)

Thanks,
Justin

Whats the cost difference of doing the "hack" vs sending them back to Koni to be rebuilt (assumuming they would rebuild the older pieces?)

You can surely fit lowering springs on your M474 structs. If you're going on those "do it yourself" adjustable suspension setups..Well, think again. That's why I went on the M030 route.
