Default Adaptable stainless exhaust system out there??? Meaner exhaust videos wanted.

There is another thread bouncing around asking for muffler videos, didn't want to hyjack his thread so wanted to start my own. I believe he is looking for a quieter exhaust, I am looking in the other direction.

I recently cut off my cat. I have a occasional fart can sound that I need to track down and kill. I was expecting a 'meaner' sound when I did this but it wasn't that much of a change to me. The engine seams to run a little cooler, and I am hoping to see some MPG increase.

Now I am considering making a full stainless steel system from headers all the way back, which got me thinking......on Ebay there are always mass produced (therefore low cost) stainless system for other 4 bangers. Has anyone looked into one a these as a fairly easy adaptable set up for the 2.5 engine? I know, I know there would be cutting and welding involved. But I still believe with a litle work one of these could be used on our cars and when all the dust settled you could have a full stainless system for around $300. Thinking along the lines of a 2.5 in system with a resonator and a flowmaster muffler.

Personally I do not want a rice burner sound. I don't want a V-8 sound. Just want a sound that is a little meaner.

Ideas, comments, videos welcome.

OBX makes a catback exhaust for 944 N/As, get that and a honda 2.5" cat test pipe, should bolt up they're both 3 bolt flanges and then get a header.

Cat Pipe:

He will go lower on the catback, I asked him, but since it was a 2.5inch i didn't take that path.

No problem, hate it when folks hyjack mine sometimes.

Have actually been told the most silent exhuast is the stock system, I know there are ways to make it quieter; but are you willing to give up some hp and mpg for a more silent running machine?

Check this out guys, the kid in Taiwan got this sound from a 2.8 Pontiac Fiero engine. My Fiero has a 3.4 in it and sounds NOTHING like this.

Me either, sounds like a modified BMW V12. A guy on another forum claims he has figured out how they did it. Will believe it when I see it.
