Polished Club Sport Wheels?
I've got a set of 7's and 9's buried in the garage that I'm thinking about digging out, but the PO painted them charcoal gray. Has anybody polished these wheels? I'm wondering what that might look like.
Or... do I have any chance of getting spray paint off with chemicals, then put a clear factory-like finish on them?
I'm open to suggestions... Thanks!

Here's what I got when I asked about it on the 928 board:

They look great polished.
The only problem now is tire selection. Tire rack shows only a single brand of the correct tire size for street use. The rear tires are the problem, they are an odd size that doesn't have any current oem application.

One my cars 3 PO's had my wheels polished. Painted in inside black and polished the aluminum on the outside. It takes more work to keep them looking good as they need pretty regular cleaning to keep looking like a mirror finish. However despite that they have held up.
I consider it a somewhat period look as most cars don't have polished wheels these days. I am not sure I would pay to do it, but I am happy they are done this way. It also makes the 16" wheels look much larger.
