Power steering FYI
As some of you may know, i recently replaced every component of my power steering system...
I ran around with a depowered rack for about 8 months because i moved 4 states away. because it took so long, i forgot the routing of some of the lines so i checked out the PET diagram for power steering off of the Porsche website...
well part of the diagram is WRONG! i spent countless hours trying to make it work as the diagram showed.... who am i to second guess Porsche right?
anyways the return line to the rack and the pressure line is incorrectly attached in the diagram. the pressure line goes on the BOTTOM and the return line connects to the top port on the rack valve... the diagram shows the opposite...
anyways just a friendly FYI for the next poor sap...

it might be 3.5 years later, but this is the thread i randomly chose (in search) to verify that the pressure line mounts to the bottom port and the return line mounts to the upper port in the rack. every diagram i looked at also showed the opposite. it seemed obvious based on the pressure line's shape/position, but i still wanted to verify it somehow. thanks to sydneyman for the post.

If I mounted them in reverse, have I "blown the seals" in the rack? Is that possible? Can I just drain, clear, and refill?
Thanks.

Thanks.
