Default 944 S2 Alignment

Anything special about the front end (not rear) alignment on my 944 s2? Curious....can I basically take it to any reputable tire shop or will this need to go to the Porsche specialist?

I am guessing there is nothing special.

The alignment shop needs to understand the caster adjustment and camber adjustment processes. If you are only getting toe checked, then it is straightforward.

It took me 8 years and 6 alignments before I was able to supervise a shop to do it correctly. Porsche did it once and not only did not take the time to work loose the caster adjuster and did not tighten up the camber locknut after adjustment. Very frustrating.

Once set correctly, it is a dream to drive.

Educate yourself and print out specs that you want the car set to for both front and rear. Toe, camber nad caster. Many get lazy and do a half *** job.

Porsche dealer service or specialty shop that race 944's may be your best bet.

Good luck
