the best way is to talk XS Chop into building more copies of his serpentine that allows you to keep the Porsche PS pump (as it sends fluid to the rack at proper pressure, where the GM pump does not). better to have a pump that leaks **** all over humanity than the alternative. then you go to a hydraulic brake booster kit.

I've never had a 944 pump leak on me, just a 944 rack one time and believe the PS fluid could have deteriorated the rack seals. I built my last LS-944 PS pump conversion, got other projects to do.

The down-side is some poor soul doesn't get an extra $2500 out of you....
You have an extra 60-65 lbs added over the alloy blocks, but AC removal and windshield washer removal with a front bumper delete (fiberglass) puts you right back in the
ballpark

Eric at TPC did my swap, did a great job!
Stick with power steering. Use the Turn 1 PS pump so the power rack sees the proper pressure, then you won't boil the PS fluid and use a hydroboost setup for the brakes.
Iron blocks weigh more and have slightly less displacement. They are cheaper though.

I agree about the 6.0 truck LS.... A friend of mine is putting one in a C5 vette that blew the LS1 when he tried to boost it.....he says it won't happen to the Iron block....
I would like to take a drive in a 4.8L Ironblock that was set-up to rev 7K, Z06 heads and springs and hot cam. I bet it would get great gas mi. if you kept your foot out of it, but that's redundant to the swap...

Eric also completed my LS1 swap and did a great job! We went with ABS Electronic brakes (solenoids are hidden in the front fender). They work great and can't beat the cleanliness of it....

I saw the yellow car at Cars and Coffee last Saturday. Cool. I kinda want one but I still think it'd cost $15k or more soup to nuts to get it done.
There were some other cool cars there. Countash, Dino, 328, a bunch of Lotus 7s, Scagletti, etc. etc.

Yeah, in retrospect I kinda wish I'd gone with the electronic brake booster. So much cleaner. Since it's more of a track car I went with the tried and true though.
Joel, definitely cheaper than what you think...
