water pump differences.
I have already upgraded to the updated turbo pump and I am replacing my water pump this timing belt change. I phoned the dealer they said they can get me a rebuilt pump and he said he has one in stock that doesn't need the block off plate but it's the updated pump with the block off plate.
does this make sense? I already bought a thermostat for a turbo pump and i'm not sure if this water pump would be correct. he said it's the updated pump with block off plate but it doesn't have the turbo outlet.

also wondering if rebuilt pumps are risky....... my old pump was a brand new pump from paragon and has like 60k kms on it now and i'm wondering if a rebuilt pump might be worse than my old pump.
I talked to the dealer and he said he sells lots of htem and never heard of customers complaining about them.

just mentioning it because its good to post on a thread that's already got a lot of info and illustrations, where people can add more from their experiences.
i got a great deal on a new oem pump at.... German. http://www.germanautoparts.com/Porsche
i also like Zims for this item.
the pump that came out of my car had 114 k miles. so, how could i go wrong replacing with new?
