My 944 in Maryland is registered with "historic" tags, so it no longer requires emissions. I don't know the details, but I believe any car in MD over 20 years old qualifies.

No emissions tests in Mississippi. Which is just about the only advantage to living here. lol
My 944 will qual for the antique tag this year. I think it's a one time fee of $29 and your done, no yearly paying after you get it.
