911 stone guards. I think they look much better. They do need to be trimed just a little to fit the lines perfect.

The 911 Stone Guards look much better along with the Mud Guards to keep your white car looking clean.

Cheers,

I got the clear versions from that guy on ebay... they are great.

The ones I got were for a 911 turbo, they are a little wider and protect a bit more on our cars. I also put them lower down than the example above. I would post a pic but you cant really see them...

I bought some but haven't put them on yet. I'll try and dig up who I got them from.

I do get a lot more local admiration of the car after the 911 guards were put on. I know the redneck mud guards are a little unusual but they are the reason my car is in such good shape. About 15 years ago I had to commute on about 8 miles of gravel road to the nearest pavement. They saved my car so I am a little attached to them now. Also if I take them off I can not get rid of the marks without repaint.

The Fuchs really completed the look I was going for. I might add a euro antenna yet.

Just for reference (and since there are virtually no pics on google images for a Factory set of stone guards and side moldings, M481 option code) this is my car with the faded factory guards. The picture is before I bought it and before all the guards were stripped and the whole car has since been repainted. I thought the wheel well ones were clear and the one behind the doors were black, but now I'm not so sure, it looks like they were all clear as I don't recall seeing black wheel well guards. So which year had them? I think maybe 83 or 84, IDK.

I do like the 911 one's but I am tempted to go with 944 guards simply because you just don't see them, almost never. And I'm not afraid of them as they look pretty 80's to me which is one of the many reasons I love the 944's

The good thing abou the 911 guards is they protect more... especially if you get the turbo ones.
