I've tried various methods on a couple of Guards Red pcars that have passed through my ownership. If the oxidation is mild, I use a cleaner wax and that's it. If the oxidation is a little worse, like water spots and general pinkness, I use medium and/or fine cut polish, and wax. I had one super-stubborn door on my red 968 and nothing would turn it red, it just stayed pink and got worse every week. I wetsanded it and polished it like JKW and it fixed it.

On the totally EFFed up red paint, like my first 944, I got it resprayed and of course with clear coat. Nowadays they won't even let you get single stage paint, or solvent based paint for that matter.
