I thought so to and for the same reason as you, but if you visit the page it shows that the speedo goes to a max of 220 and that must be mph. According to the GPS it has reached 214 mph, that's pretty fast.. </strong><hr></blockquote>

Yep, the early Hayabusa had a 220 speedo, the later (starting in '01 I think) has a 185 speedo. Very common upgrade, makes people drop their jaws when they see 220 listed on there.

Here's some pics of that bike in building...

(body is off there)

Makes for some fun playing with rice. Hold along side of them, make them think they have something, then pull a 3 gear wheelie.

It's pretty interesting to see how much noise the turbo takes away, it's not very loud even without a muffler.

Make I should put a turbo on my S2 when the muflers go bad...

I think the SPeedo is in Kph, not MPH. At about 3:50 he is on a road next to a white Probe, he speedo reads "80" there is no way those other cars were doing 80 on that city street with congestion...</strong><hr></blockquote>

You haven't been to Vegas have you? Just the other evening, me and several other (10 or so) cars were cruising up Tropicana Blvd (major street), at about 85-90mph, in a 45mph zone.

That speedo is in MPH. If you look closely, you can see the kp/h on the inside of the speedo.

I don't even want to know how good of a rider it takes to keep that thing shiny.... I have issues sliding my 100hp when juicing it (and it's old and pathetic next to a turbo Busa.. <img src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" border="0" alt="[hiha]" /> )

Oh well - at least he can't use it in the corners..

(Damn, yes - I'd love to own it/ride it, but NOT as a daily)

Before suzukihayabusa.org was hacked and crashed, I believe Velocity Racing posted pics and dyno charts of a 640 some odd HP bike (I think it was VR and I think it was in the 640 range). One incredible machine. I'll try to confirm those numbers later.
