Cool RPM drops below normal idle.

When I let go of the throttle after revving the engine the idle drops below normal RPM for a second.

Normal RPM at idle is 950, when returning after revving to idle it drops for a moment to 850-900 RPM then continues to idle at 950 RPM again. Is this normal, or shouldn't the car drop below idle?

I have adjusted my idle manually with the screw next to the throttle house. I recently rebuild the engine. Do I need to perform special procedures to set it up properly again? The car is a '86 944 N/A.
