removal is pretty straightforward, just get down there and you'll see the turnbuckle that tightens the belt on the pump, loosen and rotate away, then there are 3? bolts holding the thing on there. not to mention the hoses. pretty simple

bleeding is simple, just turn the wheel all the way left and right and add fluid until it meets the line in the resevoir. it bleeds itself when you turn the wheel, you'll see bubbles in the resevoir.

1 bolt, 1 nut, 1 bolt on turnbuckle, 2 lines... 4 bolts hold the housing together..

easy as pie!

Chris was close, but this is it...

Im guessing the best thing to do is remove the reservoir hose first so the system can drain ? Or is there better way to drain the fluid ?

Use a big drip pan, as it will continue to weep after the lines are disconnected..

Not difficult to rebuild, just make sure you get everything clean clean clean, and be mindful of the vanes inside the pump, they like to fall out when taking the pump apart....

I watched the Rennbay tutorial on youtube and it seems easy to do it. I afraid to ask but what happens if the vanes fall out ?

You just spend some time putting them back. Rebuild was easy.

The big problem is if you LOSE a vane. Work on a nice big (clean) counter.

It's an easy job, you'll be fine.

ahh yes, thanks! my procedure went like this: take off a bolt, try and pull the pump, take off another bolt/nut, try and pull the pump... its easy to forget how many that way...

Non-synthetic ATF fluid is what is called for.. havent heard of anyone using the Pentosin fluid you reffer to.

I always use Dextron non-synthetic.. and have had little problems in 20K miles or so after rebuilding my PS system on my 951, and will use the same on my freshly rebuilt N/A system...
