Post Rennline Aluminum Pedals for 944

Anyone tried Rennline aluminum pedals? They have what appears to be a nice set for $175.

Are there any other pedal sets that are preferred?

Sean,
Here are the pedals I bought for $44.95

I got them from Autosupermart.

I realize they don't have a dead pedal but I think they are really nice for the money. My feet never slip off of the pedals and they look good.

Best Regards,
Max

I agree with MadMax,I have the same pedals and for the money these can not be beat! They fit great and look great. Also if you look at the photo that MadMax supplied, the brake pedal has a side wall that stops your foot from getting under the brake pedal from the gas pedal, this is a good design.

Max. Any chance you could post a picture of them installed? Do they help with "heel & toe" downshifting?

I have those pedals too. Yes, they help with heel and toe. They're nice, but I had to mount the brake pedal rotated clockwise about 15 degrees so it wouldn't catch my foot while moving from gas to brake. It's not the fault of the pedal, it's the fault of my foot (size 14).

I actually think it looks cool that way. Nobody drives my car but me anyway, the driver interface -should- be customized to compensate for my deformities.

Tom,
I don't have a picture of them installed but I can take one. I have a bunch of stuff that I need to photo this weekend. Sorry, I have not as yet moved into the digital age. I know, I know, I am a neanderthal. I will have them probably by Monday unless Thad has a digital, then he could photo his.

The only issue with them is the gas pedal, unless you have pounders the size of Thad.

It takes a longer bolt than is supplied to mount to the gas pedal in the ABS equipped cars due to the waffling on the backside of the gas pedal. Still isn't a difficult thing to put on. I love 'em. They look racey without looking "ricey".

These look like they might be just what I'm looking for (i.e. something to help with heel & toe), but how difficult are they to install? Do you have to drill through the OEM pedals, or do they have mounting brackets that wrap around the pedals somehow?

I once put a set of MOMO pedals on another car, and they were a PITA to install. Drilling through the OEM pedals was a nightmare!!

P.S. I'd also love to see a pic, if possible.

Thanks.

Jim

You have to drill thru the existing pedals.

If you are wanting to add a dead pedal, Rennline sells these individually at rennline.com (they are not cheap though, at $75 a piece).

BTW, I believe that the "Rennline" logo is simply a sticker that can be removed.
