If you want to see a amazing video of one of these Skylines, click on the link. It's so powerful this thing practically jumps off the dyno rollers! It's no wonder all the Ricers worship these cars. It's about 4.5 megs so might take awhile on 56K but it's worth it. The sound of the turbos whistling is pure music to my ears......
3 959s in a row is indeed a rare sight.

Sweander,who was comparing them???
I admit, it's not often you talk about 14 959s in a row and a Nissan Skyline.
I've always liked the mystic of these Skylines. Geo & Thaddeus....do you know a website that details them? What's under the hood, it's a twin turbo inline-6.....right?

Looks like hell waiting to happen, to me. Who on earth would pay that much for a car with NO assurance you could even register it or drive it? Look at the list of things you "might" have to change...

You can get a federalized Skyline GTR from Motorex.
<a href="http://www.motorex.net" target="_blank">Motorex</a>
They even convert them from RHD to LHD.

I was speaking from a homologation point of view, not drivability. As someone who has gone through tons of paperwork to register a non-European Community car in an E.C. country, I was wondering how much tougher it would be to get the 959 registered in the U.S. if it were RHD, since the DOT already has it in a "special exemption category," because it does not meet U.S. vehicle specification requirements like other Porsches built for the American market.

I didn't know they are AWD too!! I bet they're a lot of fun. Nissan must rally them.
I imagine they can beat Corvettes and dust the Rustangs but who gives a shat about Mustangs....it's the ZO6 everyone wants to win against.

RHD isn't really much of a bother to actually drive, even if you are a right handed person that grew up with LHD & stick shifts.
The big problem is seeing well when you have it on right hand roads. It can get interesting trying to pass a truck on a two lane road. Insurance companies even have a rating surcharge figured out as they know the odds went way up that you will have an accident.

Actually they don't rally them. The Nissan rally car was the Pulsar/Sunny GTi-R and more recently the Almera. Currently they have no rally car. The Skyline is far too large for a rally car.
Corvettes and Rustangs? Heh. Try 959s. These cars can easily (if your disposeable income is high enough) be made to make 1000 bhp. No joke. What a choice to be able to make.... Skyline GTR or 959? I'd take the 959 for exclusivity if nothing else.

I believe the Skyline is a twin-turbocharged 6 cylinder, AWD, all-wheel steering car. Someone who knows different, correct me if I'm wrong.
That's a helluva lot of performance... and the fact it's mass produced doesn't make it worse, it makes it better...
I'd drive one. I just don't want to import/grey market one.
