Rennlist is THE technical and social online forum for Porsche owners. What is so special about a discussion forum for Porsche owners? What distinguishes Rennlist from other Porsche boards or even other automotive discussion forums in general?
The best way to answer this question is to give an example of a Rennlist experience:
I started browsing Rennlist shortly before buying my car, in order to gather as much infromation as possible and to protect myself from buying a lemon Porsche. The information on Rennlist is free to read and browse, as it is free to ask questions and get prompt answers. Although I picked up my car for a good price, some repairs were in order. The technical advice given to me on Rennlist has saved me THOUSANDS of dollars in repairs. Not only did people give me instructions on how to fix my car, through Rennlist I actually met people in my area who GAVE me free parts for my car! As I became more involved with the community, I met more and more people online, and consequently in real life, through the local branch of the Porsche Club of America. Some of the friends I've made online and met in real life will remain my friends for the rest of my life.
Some other activities which occur on Rennlist, are indicitive of the sheer goodwill of some of the members. There are guys that hold contests or drawings, and give away free parts or other prizes to winners! Other examples are the times when some members have experience severe emotional or financial hardships, and recieved tremendous support from all the other Rennlist members, not only emotional support but even financial support!!!
Not only do Rennlist members share a common bond in that we love our cars, but we are all also willing to share our expertice, experience, and knowledge of our prized Porsches. All of our members are friendly, polite, mature (even the young ones) and very helpful.
That, to me, is the definition of a Community, and that is why Rennlist deserves the award for best community website.

There's been a relatively high concentration of Geocaching in my area for a while now - with all of the trails, islands, and coves in the Puget Sound area, it makes a very rich sea/air/land geocache. Besides, it all started in Seattle <img border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" title="" src="graemlins/bigok.gif" />

Yeah that Geocaching is HUGE around here too!! But it's not a COMMUNITY - it's different... It's more of a game/entertainment.
Hey, does anyone know how to check how many votes rennlist has????

Ok, I just tried to vote. I keep getting the response the password is bad (it's the one they just sent me after registering). Anyone else have any trouble? I've sent an email to their tech support. We'll see. I want to vote, I really do!!
