Post who was it that offered the headlight wiring kit?

does anyone know who was offering the headlight wiring kit with the really beefy cables. i am in the process of putting my car back together and now is as good as any to install a nice set of big fat wires to go to my H4 headlamps and euro driving/fog lights.

i do believe it was a rennlister and not a vendor, and is this person still making them?

The person you're looking for is IceShark. Search the archives and email him.

I highly recommend the upgrade. The workmanship on the kit is top notch. The difference in light output is amazing.

Yup, that is me.

I've got about a dozen of the headlight wiring harnesses left and then that may be it.

I started doing this for Rennlisters just to give them better lights. But it takes too much of my time and my girlfriend is complaining.

Guess who is going to win? Rennlist or Girlfriend? LOL!

Jake, I think I have about taken care of most 944 owners on Rennlist that want to be upgraded on headlights and battery cables, and it is probably time to move on. A few guys with tight finances are still left but I have some kits remaining for them.

IceShark, can you please PM me some of the specifics on the kit? I was going to do this in a while, but it looks like it may have to be sooner than later
Thanks

83Green944,

What do you need to know? With respect to the headlight kit, if you go to Danno's gururacing.net site and click on lighting you can see what is offered and links to old rennlist threads that go over lighting issues in the smallest details. Even fights over the best approach.

If you also want info on the battery cables, there have been quite a few threads on that on Rennlist since the first of the year. Actually, I believe the threads first started around October 2002 when I started thinking about how to fix the crummy Porsche OEM battery wiring and also preventing the heart ache that befell Perry951 when he burned up his car with a cable short.

Also, there are a couple kits up in Vancouver that you could actually take a look at in person, if the owners say OK.

Guys, you can send me a hundred bucks and I will hold a full kit for you for half a year.

When I started the headlight project some, hell, MANY, guys sent me a deposit of $100 and sat waiting for all the parts to come in for a good 5 months.

No one complained, everyone understood what the situation was. I return the favor on what is left of the last build.

Dan, are you still doing the uprated alternator voltage regulator?? I'm considering uprating the stereo, and could do with a bit of extra oomph!
