Default Help identify these wires.

1983 Porsche 944

The white one with the black covering...

The red and blue one.

The red and yellow has 12V to it constantly so that's my power. Is there supposed to be an inline fuse?

um can you send a better photo it is hard to tell due to its close proximity to others maybe if you had it a foot back or so also pelicanparts.com hass all the wiring diagrams by year and make (by color) so that might help you

rexx, I just went through this on my 84.

The white is the power antenna signal
The red/yellow is the Battery +, for memory, no inline fuse
The red/blue is the switched ignition, for main power

And all of this is for the radio. Just incase you didn't already know. Always double check with a volt meter but they look exactly like what I have in mine!

I checked with a meter and the red/yellow is constant 12V...

But...the red/blue never reads 12V...not with the key in or out???

Any place I can get switched 12V?

rexx check the fuses; i blew a fuse every two seconds because of a short and wasn't getting a reading off most of the wires that were in the radios bundle

Yeah rexx, check you fuses and for shorts. Red/Blue is supposed to be your switched 12v.
