Post OT - Friendly Pranks on Fellow SysAdmin?

Our other sys admin left for a week and accidentally left his system unlocked. We play pranks on eachother when one of us does this and I'd like to get him good this time...

For starters, I'd planned on putting all .exe's in his Startup group (heh heh heh), changing his desktop to a screenshot of his desktop and then deleting all actual icons etc.
What I really want to do is figure out a way to automatically log him off when he logs in. I tried writing a batch file with "kill -f explorer" but that doesn't seem to work (it kills explorer, but doesn't shut down the system).
Can anyone tell me how add something to his startup to automatically log him off upon login?
Any other prank suggestions are much appreciated - but remember I'm not trying to damage his system, just play some jokes on him - please email them to me at

THANKS!!

Paul

Too bad this probably won't work with these modern machines / operating systems, but back when everybody had windows 95, we did the following trick.

1) get a slowdown program somewhere (used to allow one to play old games on newer, faster computers)

2) edit the binary to get rid of copyright etc messages, giving completely stealth action

3) create a small program to re-write startup batch files on each time it's called... so they'll start win95 through the slowdown program and increase the slowness % on every reboot

End result, guy almost formatting his hard drive to re-install everything since he couldn't figure out why his computer kept slowing down all the time ... bwahaa

Do you have access to Visual C++ or something similar? There's probably a simple system call that'll reboot the machine, since most of the custom software installers seem to want to do this... so it shouldn't be a big effort to write up a small program that just reboots - then place it in the startup folder

Thats what I'm looking for!

I bet he was pulling out his hair!

I created something here that works fine on a 2000 box, but not on XP Pro....

Keep looking I guess -

My old boss was notorious for bringing up pornographic websites on unprotected computers. He would even book mark them for you. And then when you got back from lunch/meeting he would stand over you until you shut off the screen saver and shout "Hey look at what he's checking out". I was once logged on to Alcoholics Anonymous.

I was planning on putting tuna fish in his computer case one night, but he quit too soon. BTW, he had his own office.

Oh yes and he claimed that he once sent a "Hey we should get together" email from a male coworker to a female coworker. EVIL

Well you didn't say what OS

Putting an init 6 on a solaris system boot up file would be handy.

Used to work at SUN on phone support. McDonalds called me up, they had an E10K http://www.sun.com/servers/highend/e10000/ he had left his root account open on a terminal when he went to lunch. Someone did an init 6.

For those of you unaware. This is a machine that the starting price is approximately $1,000,000 for a working machine, add on a bunch of storage and a variety of domains and boot up time can span a weekend (and you winders dude compalain about 2 or 3 minutes) an init 6 takes it down to nothing.

You NEVER do it with an E10K, they are designed to boot up in levels, and you never take it to a step above nothing.

Guy was practically in tears when he called.

****! I'd love to see an E10K some day... I used to have a SparcStation 20 clone at home - four processors, no less! Didn't have much use for it though since my PC had 1) more power and 2) better software for my needs, but it was neat anyway. Plus that 20" screen was superb...

I think SUN is a cool company

Go to http://www.theinquirer.net/ and do a search on Mcfeelme and you can see some of the articles I wrote when there.

They are a company with a lot of problems, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Like on the Sunblade. They put in a CD and an onboard sound card, but no way to get audio from one to the other.

You choice was to solder in a standard CD audio cable, or download a hack a Sun Engineer made to do it in software, or pay to upgrade to the rev 2 board.

If you find the program shutgui.exe you can have loads of fun with it..

A cool thing to do would be to place it in Scheduled Tasks to run every twenty minutes or so.. Hehe..
