well, after a trip to the shop, my car has survived!

he changed the spark plugs, the oil and dried everything up very well including the dme... i'm picking her up tommorow!

I am so glad! Just make sure you get all the moisture out of the carpet, or it could rust the metal under the seats. Just an idea, IMHO.

keep a very close eye on the oil for a while

do you think the water got into it through the dipstick tube? was it that deep? dunno how else

well the car is running fine.. it's a little rougher than it was on the starting... other than that it surpassed the worst florida could throw at it... next time it rains i think i'll just stay home!

Br=efore Sid says it- clean your grounds- steel rusts and then makes a terrible conductor to ground..
