Lightbulb Making the engine look good....

It is just about summer, and so far my car hasnt given me any problems......knock on wood. so i want to get my car to LOOK better. i recently purchsed some new rims, window tint, new paint job. next i think i want to focus on the engine compartment. i would love to see some pics of people that have done specific things to help spice up the engine. right now, i have a new throttle cam and a cone intake, also, i have the engine detailed so well, you could easily eat off it I am thinking of covering all the hoses in a stainless steel wrap, perhaps some good looking spark wires......give me your thoughts list
many thanks, in advance
-Pat

If you feel like pulling off the intake manifold and the cam cover, you could always go the polished route, or powdercoated as well. Also, stainless fuel lines, which are also functionally safer than the orginal wires.
There's always the 'fancy clamps' in anodized metal you could get, pretty colored plug wires etc.

If you ask me, the best looking engines out there are the ones that are subtle enough to look stock, and VERY clean. Perry 951 comes to mind, which I'm sure is on the tip of everyone's tongue...
My engine is spotless and totally stock looking with the exception of some magnacore 8.5mm red plug wires.

Last year at The Fest, a Silver Rose appeared with a handful of miles. Engine bay was stock and spotless, and it was breathtaking.

If you want to add some color, the best advice I can give is to have a plan and make sure it is a good color combo with the rest of the car.

Mine is pretty clean, but it could be better... I have a friend with a 89' BMW 325i... stock car, but its spotless... It took him 2 full weeks to do his entire engine bay and it looks as though it just came off of the showroom floor... He and another friend are gonna help me do my bay... i'll post pics when its done... Now, how did he do it? I dunno yet, but i'll let u know when we do mine...

Powdercoating is a good route, dont have to worry about it again and its easy to clean. If its a turbo then get your IC plumbing ceramic coated as well. You can always drfess it up with some silion hoses too.

Here is a pretty well detailed engine (not a Porsche engine, but you get the idea)

I know it's a turbo but the same prep work and finishing job applies.

Anyone notice how ugly the coolant resevoir looks? The car could be spotless and that thing is always a dank green or tan.

Very clean engines. What works best to degrease the engines and doesn't harm the rubber hoses and electrical connections?
