Can someone please look at their 87+ rear wiper motor?

So as part of my restoration I purchased a brand new glass hatch and had it shipped over from Germany.
I have one small issue. My car is an 86 and the hatch is an 87+. They are identical except for how the rear wiper motor attaches.
The wiper motor is attached to a steel plate. On an 86 that plate attaches to the hatch via the shaft/hole in the glass and via 2 pegs that insert into two holes on the hatch. ON an 87+ the plate/hatch attachment is different. Instead of pegs, the hatch has two hoops welded to it and the plate has two holes that attach to the two hoops on the hatch.
I was able to source an 87+ plate but what I need to know is how the holes in the plate attach to the two hoops. Is there a bolt there? Some sort of plastic connector?
I know this sounds convoluted but you'll see what I mean immediately by looking at the plate.
An information, maybe even a photo, would be very much appreciated.
