Question Identify the lights in this pic, please!!..........Perry this is up your alley

Pulled out my guage cluster to replace odo. gear (see other post) and I discovered that there were 4 bulb holes with no bulbs. They are clustered on the lower left (as you look from the backside) behind the oil pressure/voltage guage. See picture below.

My car is a '86 turbo so are these spots for the N/A? It doesn't appear that any light would lead anywhere.

Scott, did you do anything to your relfectors to brighten up the guages while you had the unit out. Also, how is the polishing coming.

I did use HVAC tape to brighten them. Only modest gains.

Some of them have block off plates that won't let light through. Depending on options, they will have lights in them.

Once I get an old cluster, I am going to remove all the block off plates and see what "options" Porsche had planned for the future.

I know there is one for:
Cruise
Security
Rear Hatch Ajar
Seat Belt

There are more.. just not sure what they are. Use a flashlight to see what ones have the plates removed, then replace the bulbs and holders and they just might work!!

Foil with a sticky side.
