Yes, done each time with the factory torque spec... 3 stages. I do not use torque angle but rather the 3 discrete ft-lb settings.

I was thinking to just use a thin coat of the copper HG spray. No RTV or gray silicone. I do use gray in other areas like the rear cam gasket made of cork.

I got the head off and back to the machine shop so they can fix a kcuf-up. The HG still looks new and the block and head surfaces look totally clean... well I'll reclean them and still use the spray just to be safe, but this HG looks like nothing's happened to it. It's good to know others have done this and it's fine.
