I used the NT 555R's on my RX-7 when I had it. I know that they advertise it as a street legal drag racing tire. Well, what they don't tell you is that it is just a different treaded Toyo RA-1. Toyo makes all of Nitto's tires, so you can look at the Nitto line and compare it to Toyo's tires.

At any rate, I loved them. I drove the stink out of them at Thunderhill for a couple of weekends. I used them to autocross for 1 whole season. And they still had tread on them. They had been heat cycled to death, but they still worked for someone on a budget.

Just my .02 worth.
