Default Removal of Rear Spoiler?

Does anyone have a tutorial or can outline how to remove the rear spoiler. I know it needs a special tool. Could I get that anywhere? I am going to try and reseal the top of my hatch tonight. Any ideas would be helpful.

I don't know about any special tools. I slotted a screwdriver to get those nuts off the studs.

Thats the tool I'm talking about. How did you slot the screwdriver? Is there some other way to remove those nuts?

I have only did this once, and on my example the bolts were so seized I ended up drilling them out. High pucker factor hoping to not break the glass.

If they don't come off easily I will just keep the spoiler on and be careful how tight I rachet down the straps.

Take a cheapo wide flat head screwdriver and cut a square notch in the middle of it. You can also use fine tipped needle nose pliers to undo them.
