Post APE Stage II vs. Guru Chip Set

Just finished putting everything in but the wastegate shims (ran out of light). Thanks to the list members and Danno everything went smoothly, thanks!

Took the car out for a short spin and... WOW! BIG improvement over Autothority! Id like to get the car on a dyno in the next few weeks and get some numbers for you guys, but "seat of the pants dyno" says a significant amount was gained.

Low end is a huge improvement, mid range is a huge improvement, and top end is a minor improvement. (very, very, and marginaly noticable respectively.)

The car smoked some on start up, but attributed that to the temperature of the engine and the air outside, and after it disapated, everything was great! It ran noticabley smoother - no boost spikes and spool time was quick. I didnt take it up to redline, but there seemed to be NO drop off in the range the car was driven. I had the LBE on with the APE II chips and my while my low end was imrpved, my top end sucked. Not so with Guru, great boost all the way through the range.

Incedently, Danno, how do I adjust the LBE from stock to mimic the boost maximizer in operation? (Set at 10 PSI now from manufacturer).

Cant wait to put the shims in!

Thanks again Danno for the great service and vastly superior product! Im saving for the MAP sensor as we speak! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Time to change the sig!
