Apparently there counts were off by one, good to see someone else got a chance to get one at that price 944Ross. Hopefully mine should be here by tomorrow or Thursday and I can see what it looks like. I might be at the point where I can get my old clutch out by tomorrow. I spent most of the day on it yesterday and unfortunately snapped the set bolt off that holds the shaft that runs through the clutch fork off. So tomorrow I'm going to be fighting with that for awhile. I suppose if I can't get that bolt out, I can always remove the entire PP assembly by removing the bolts through the starter hole.

I'm glad you posted about it, Thanks!
There was a thread on drilling out that bolt; it isn't pretty. My advice would be to get a pneumatic right-angle drill, $10 at Harbor Freight. Once you get it drilled out to about 1/8", switch to a left-hand drill a size larger, it "may" spin out. Yeah....
What year is your car? I wondered if they had one Early and one Late (mine is Late), not really sure there is a difference for NA cars?

Well mine's an 87, so I don't think that was the case.
I've thought about the idea of drilling it out, but if I end up doing that, I'll just removed the whole assembly and drill it out once I have it out of the car. That way I have more room to work.

Ogden is in Champaign County, about 20 miles west of the Indiana border, about middle of IL. 3 hours from Chicago, 3 hours from St. Louis, and 1.5 hours from Indianapolis.

I honestly didn't expect that. Not alot of people realize where this area is. I actually grew up my whole life up the road in Danville. Started working in Champaign a couple years back and moved to Ogden then.

I was born in Champ. while my dad went to college. He said Danville had the best whorehouse in the state, used to make money running guys over there in his '39 LaSalle!

Yep, I know exactly which whorehouse your talking about. I'm to young to know where it was located, but I have definately heard the stories. I had a grandfather that was a customer there if I remember correctly.

I got my BWD clutch disc today, and since I don't have an old rubber disc available, or the clutch apart, I have some questions. I'm not sure this will clear the flywheel bolts, based on discussions on the Why Does A 944 Clutch Cost So Much thread. Otherwise it looks great, the B-W part number is: 699248
Grasshopper, is yours the same? Some evidence this box may be a return.
Edit: No way this is a 944 disc, see third pic with dummy shaft. Also note the F&S marks

Yeah, I got mine in yesterday. That is exactly what mine looks like and I was questioning it myself. Looks nothing like any of the clutch disk I've seen pictured. Also thanks for posting pics, because I have no idea how to do that. I have my torque tube pushed back right now, so I can see if it fits on the shaft or not. Can anyone else chime in on this? Does it look wrong?

Yours looks like the right piece, the splines should be 1-1/16" OD. The spring section on yours is also offset properly. I see yours is also a F&S clutch.
What is the part # on the box you got? Rock Auto is saying I ordered a Turbo disc.

The part # on my box was also 699248. My box also looked like it had been ran over when I got it. The clutch alignment tool that I purchased from Pelican also fit inside it, so I'm more inclined to beleive mine might me right. Unfortunately I agree with you, that doesn't look right at all for yours. You can't see to well in my pictures but the string of # painted on the clutch is different from yours as well.
