This morning went to go to work. The Heater fan wasn't blowing. Was fairly cold and lots of frost on the windows, not to mention they were fogging up. Found a blown fuse. Wasn't that one (found out after I replaced it). Had to take the Bronco to work.

Just to round the day off the heater core in the Bronco went. And it looks like that will be fun too.

Tonight I came home with more fuses and found none blown. When I turned on the ignition both radiator fans went to full, but still nothing on the heater fan.

I decided to take it on a short run to the Grocery store. After about two minutes the heater fan came on. When I got to the Grocery store I shut the car off then put it back into "run" The radiator fans did not come on.

????????????????

Is this a normal modus operandi

Post 85.5 fresh air fans, there are two of them, have bi-metalic safety contacts that are supposed to protect the wire wound resitors that are used for the multi speeds. You can clean these by pulling off the resistor pack. They are under the resistors.

If you have a pre 85.5 or a 924S you have to replace the speed selector switch in the console.
