Does anyone know the size of the A/C compressor bolt that mounts it to the block? mine appears to have backed itself out/broke and I need a new one.

Do you use the 5-rib belt or the 6-rib? There was a changeover, I don't know which year. Maybe your rebuilt compressor doesn't have the same width pulley as the crank and alternator.

never thought to check that... that may explain why one of the ribs keep getting ripped off.
