Help our 944 - It's fixed!
The alarm was bypassed and it runs. Now to find a ride to Coumbia to pick it up.
The #1 green wire from the DME was run directly to the coil, bypassing the alarm (and tach . . .)
Thank all of you that supported and offered support,
Steve

According to the electrical diagrams you need only cut the green wire at the alarm. There are two connectors between the alarm and pin 1 on the DME connector. The coil splits off at the first connector. The alarm and tach split off at the second.
Your might want to slice the tach back in and cut the green wire closer to the alarm.
Good luck on your 300 mile return trip. Don't push it. OK just a little here and there.

Great. I knew you could figure it out.
These cars are relly soild. Galvanized body. Engine is tough. I think Porsche probably over-designed the car. With the parts availability you could probably drive the car for years.
