968 cam cover removal

Hi,
I attempted to remove the cam cover from a 968 yesterday to inspect cams/tensioner etc. but unlike my S2, there seems to be insufficient clearance to remove the cover without moving the fuel lines that cross over the rear end of the cover. It looks to be a simple case of undoing the unions in the fuel lines that connect them to the fuel rail but with a hot engine (and not my car!) I left it alone. Can anyone tell me if there is any residual pressure in those lines after engine shut down, or is it easier to just pull off the whole fuel rail with injectors?
cheers
