Smile Washed my engine Ch. 3

Finally got the poor baby running again. The rub is I probably could have days ago if I wasn't such an imbecile. Here's the list of fixes: Swapped coil, cap and rotor, new plugs, new wires, cleaned a bunck of connections, checked some grounds, pulled and cleaned the reference sensors (replaced one due to a broken plug), tried to swap the DME relay (couldn't get it to budge), slatehred dielectric grease in all the connections and boots. After all that I talked to a guy at work today who said " did you make sure you plugged the wires to right spots on the distro?" Am I stupid?!? . . . Well yes! when I swapped out the cap the old one had the numbers on it, so I used it as a guide for the new one, only problem was I was looking at the old cap upside down. After all the fustration I pulled off the wires, plugged them in where they were supposed to go (they even fit better like that, go figure), and Viola. First try and up and running. Boy am I stupid. Well live and learn. While I was at it I installed a Jacobs Omni Magnum, with Jacobs energy core wires, and a throttle cam. Lookout morning traffic, I'm back!

We laugh with you, not at you! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> At least you figured it out yourself, instead of hauling her to a shop!

and cleaning all those connections will keep you from being stuck somewhere far from home

except for that DME relay...

bending the tip of an small screw driver into a right angle may get that thing out
