You can take the scratches out by flame polishing. But if the lexan's UV coating is a film, that can be a major problem. And I have never been able to get flame polishing to work right without hydrogen as the fuel. So what are you going to do with a leftover tank of hydrogen unless you are in the business? And it takes some practice to get the technique down right so you don't burn up your plastic.

For a street car, glass is the only way to fly.

Thanks John, I'm trying to get insurance to cover a lexan replacement now , if so they'll cover labor too. The hatch my tech uses is made like the aircraft bubbles with uv and anti scratch coatings. dunno how they'll do, We'll see...
