dashcap dismay
Well, i finally broke down and ordered a dash cap last week. i had a bunch of parts coming from PAP-Parts, so i just decided to get it from there to save me trouble. what a mistake. they forgot to put the glue in the box, and when i called, they were really nice, said they would send me a tube. then call me back an hr later, asking me to go to my hardware store, and buy my own for convience. i later find out that the da*n thing doesnt even fit on my dash board correctly, and is VERY cheaply built. it is made my ACCU-FORM, DASH-CAP....has anyone else used this brand? sure doestn seem like its worht $80.00 to me. i think i will send it back and get somthing that is actually quality made..any reccomendations???

It isn't. I cannot remember the one I got for my 92 eons ago but it got raves at auto shows. The Dash Caps Ihave seen seem to warp rather easily. If I can find the name of the other one I will post it. I do remember I purchased it from an ad in Excellence mag about 7 yrs ago.

I just installed a Coverlay so no long term report. It came with the glue and was very easy to do following their directions. About the same price as you paid. FYI-PAP has a horrible reputation-and I have my own horror story to support my feeling that it is well earned. (AutoAtlanta is #2 on that list but not by much.) Go to the past posts to see what other listers think of them.
