It would be OK as a daily driver, but I wouldn't want to drive it in the winter. Several folks do, but it is not ideal. The ground clearance alone is reason not to. Pick up an Audi Quattro for winter use, that is what I did. That way you'd have something to drive on rainy, muddy type days. I bet Randy's right..it won't last long. Cars like this often sell fast to the first guy who sees it.

For what it is worth, all the 89s had Mo30, and that included limited slip diff. Technically, the 89 Turbo is NOT a Turbo S, it just has all the Turbo S goodies. 88 was the only year Porsche made a 944 Turbo S.

you sure about the lsd thing? the 951s and 89 951 did have m030 and lsd but i don't think the lsd is part of the m030 package

dualblade is right, M030 does not include LSD, LSD is option code 220...however on the 951 I think they pretty much go together....

Anybody seen an m030 car without LSD?

It's never left me stranded on the road. However, I don't drive it the winter unless the roads are clean. As everyone else says, keeping up with the maintenance is the key.

I've gotten numerous unsolicted offers over the years to buy my '89, but I keep hanging on it. There is nothing else out there I could replace it with for the same amount of money.

What I meant to say was the "Turbo S" package in 88 and the 89 Turbo had LSD standard. You are right, it was not part of the Mo30 package.
