Call a local locksmith - they can cut a key for you within an hour.

That guarentees that you'll find the original set though...

HTH!

I usually find my lost items exactly where I lost them in the first place. Rarely do I locate them elswhere. Just look where you lost them and they will likely be there. Hope this helps.

Actually a lot of these Porsche key blanks are about impossible to find....I got some key blanks from Ebay and had to go to Ace Hardware after going to like 6 or 8 other places to find one of those old fashioned key cutting machines as none of the Lowe's, Wal-Mart etc. machines will even cut one of those blanks...has to be one of those that fit in one of their neat little slots.

I did also get a new master from Porsche...yikes on the cost! as my current key is just about a straight little piece of metal anymore....Got everything to work with softening it a bit except for the ignition. I did make my blanks into keys from that master and filed one down to work with the ignition too. Didn't take but like 3 days or something for the key to come in IIRC, but I had them then mail it to me as they close before I can get over there and it's a good 90 minute round trip, too long to do from work during the day.

Good luck finding them!

You guys are still all wrong except that viscus got it the closest. Too bad more people don't know that on the tumbler, if Willporsche944 were to take the passenger side handle out, it contains an engraved code on the tumbler that the locksmith can plug into his keymaking machine.. it only takes 30 seconds for him to cut it, and voila you've got an extra set of keys for US$25. (ymmv) I know this from first hand experience when my one old key broke off in the rear lock. Now i have three keys and one of them I only use when I have Willporsche944's problem! Make sure you have id and car reg or whatever...

Are you married? Ask your wife. Their uterine location devices really work.

do you have a locking gas cap, if so take it off and take it with you. There is a TSB about removing several of the tumblers in the cap to make it impossible to dupe. keys from the cap, but I have yet to see a car where this had been done. If your lock is all intact a good locksmith should be able to make you a new key with no problem. Good luck Mark T.

There is ALWAYS a second key in my car in a secret hiding place. rear windows are cheap- if need be. I had an ILLINI team jacket stolen with my keys in it. I still have no idea why they wanted that particular jacket.. but it's a real PITA getting them made.
Hope you find them! AArrghh.
