Post mo30 sway bars

I took the plunge today, ordered the sway bars for my 968. It's bone stock with the factory 17" cup 2 wheels, so I'll use this as a baseline for suspension improvements. Next up will be the 200# springs with the Koni sport struts, that's a little more cash, it'll have to wait for my new roof to go on or my wife will change the locks . . . of course I bought from Paragon.

just got my rear bar installed yesterday. I gave it a quick test drive and the car seemed really neutral. This is a stock turbo S with 30mm front and 19mm rear bar with billet mounts on the softest settings. May have to test it out at an autocross this sunday.

Jason, I'd like to hear your thoughts after an autocross and having the bars on the car for a couple weeks. Paragon won't have mine shipped out till this time next week, so it'll be a while longer before I can rig them up. I've had full hard, now full soft as the preferred settings-can anyone else chip in with recommendations for fast street driving?

I recently (3 weeks now) upgraded to the 968 MO30 sway bars for use on my S2. My car has the stock springs/t-bar and Koni's set at about 3/4 full stiff in the rear, fronts are set at half.

I got to put these to the test at a PCA AX this past weekend. Previously in slow speed corners car would roll so much that I would light up the inside tire if I wasn't carefull with the throttle, my car has no LSD. Now the car corners MUCH flatter and I can really get on the throttle much sooner without roasting a tire. I was able to place 3rd in the prepared class (about .5 sec back) even on my street tires while the others were running r-compounds. I am very happy with the set up.

As for the street, the car exhibits no real roll cornering, then again I do not go banzai on public roads. The car does seem to ride a bit harsher with the bars, but nothing that is intolerable. I am sure you will like them. My only regret is that I did not buy them sooner.

The sway bar installation was very simple, 8 - 13mm bolts/nuts and 4 - 17mm nuts total. Probably took about 3+ hours to install the new bars front and rear with hand tools. Just drove the car up on ramps and went at it. If you have any issues, let me know, I'd be happy to lend a hand.

Cheers,

Well, I ran the autocross. The car felt nice and balanced and I do notice less roll than before. I thought the car was not stiff enough in the front, so I ran the front shocks up to 1.5 turns from full soft. The car would plow a bit a turn-in and the be neutral with some power oversteer at the exit

This was just how I believe I want it. My times were ok, my first time and there were some really modified cars there that set the best times. An s2 track car won by about 2 seconds.

At the current moment I am having a brain blank on what size bars came stock. Skip.. Danno.. anyone? I can't believe that I forgot!

I am not looking to make a fortune on them. I have no use, so e-mail me an offer you are comfy with. Anyone know an approximate cost of shipping?

Front:
25.5mm = standard
26.8mm = M758 or M030

Rear:
18mm = Standard

I *think* I remember paying $23 to have a Turbo set shipped via UPS ground.
